Who We Are

A movement
built from within
by the community.

I² Foundation is a community-driven development organization dedicated to transforming rural lives in Rwanda. We believe sustainable change begins within communities — through education, collaboration, and shared purpose.

Our mission is to equip individuals with tools, knowledge, and networks to break cycles of poverty and build thriving, resilient communities for generations to come.

Our Mission

Empower communities with tools and opportunity for lasting change.

Our Vision

A Rwanda where every village thrives, resilient and self-sufficient.

Program 01 / 06

Growing food, growing futures.

Modern Agriculture

Equipping farmers with climate-smart practices, improved seeds, and direct market access to build lasting food security.

We train farmers in modern cultivation techniques — from soil management to irrigation — and connect them directly with buyers. Families who once struggled to feed themselves are now selling surplus produce and building savings.

  • Climate-smart farming techniques
  • Improved seed distribution
  • Direct market linkages
  • Cooperative farming groups

Every young person deserves a guide.

Youth Mentorship

Pairing young people with mentors, skill workshops, and leadership training to unlock their potential.

Young people in rural Rwanda face a unique set of barriers — limited role models, scarce opportunities, and pressure to leave their communities. Our mentorship circles keep talent rooted and growing right where it's needed most.

Healing the land, securing tomorrow.

Environmental Care

Tree planting, soil conservation, clean water access, and environmental awareness across all districts.

Rwanda's hills are beautiful — and fragile. We mobilise communities to plant trees, protect watersheds, and restore degraded land. Our environmental education programs ensure the next generation grows up as stewards of their landscape.
